Meanwhile, at the star-studded event, Aishwarya won the Best Actress in a Leading Role (Critics) award for her powerful performance in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2.

The anarkali kurta features a floor-length hemline, long sleeves, a high bandhgala neck with a V-slit, and a fitted bust with a skirt that cascades in a flowing silhouette.

Aishwarya paired the anarkali dress with a matching black zari dupatta embellished with matching golden sequin embellishments and tasselled jhumkis attached to the borders. She completed the look by draping it over her shoulder down to the floor.

As for accessories, Aishwarya chose minimal jewellery and stilettos to keep the outfit from becoming overpowering. The actress chose diamond-cut gold dangling earrings and a statement ring. As for glamour, she opted for a coral pink lip, matching eyeshadow, red-tinted eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, mascara-adorned eyeshadow, darkened brows, light contouring and a shimmery highlighter. Lastly, she left her auburn hair loose and styled it in a side part.
