Every year, eligible 12th grade students from different parts of the country are invited to apply online. “Vahani ensures quality all-round education to academically brilliant students in need of financial assistance,” the foundation says.
Vahani Scholarship The Foundation invites applications from eligible candidates. Applications are open from September 1 to December 1, with no application fee. Forms are available on the Vahani website (www.vahanischolarship.com). The scholarship is open to 12th grade students pursuing any college or professional degree, and selection is based on individual merit and a family income of less than Rs 300,000 per year.
Vahani Academics secure admissions in top institutions across the country, all IITs, Top NITs, Delhi University colleges like SRCC, LSR, St Stephens, Law colleges – NLSIU, Medical colleges like AIIMS Delhi and Maulana Azad Medical College, NID, NIFT.
The fellowship was born in 2015 when founder and president Reeva Misra “observed inequality while traveling and working on a research paper.”
The scholarship has impacted 238 lives, including 163 current scholars and 74 alumni from underprivileged backgrounds, with an average annual household income of Rs 48,646.
