Retired IFS officer posts photo of his wife’s ‘guide’ to buying vegetables and internet in Split

Viral News: A retired Indian Forest Service officer, Mohan Pargaien, has created a stir on the internet with his recent post. In it, he shared a handwritten note from his wife, which instructed him on how to buy vegetables from the market.

The detailed list included a step-by-step manual on how to select the best vegetables, from not choosing tomatoes with holes in them to ensuring that potatoes were medium-sized. Each vegetable on the list came with its own instructions. In the case of potatoes, the officer was advised to choose medium-sized ones, with one crucial note: potatoes with green eyes were not allowed! The guide for fenugreek (methi) emphasized compact leaves without holes.

Plus, his wife even included little sketches to help him understand the correct size of different vegetables, such as chili peppers, spinach, and onions.

The post was titled: “While I was going to the market to buy vegetables, my wife shared this with me and told me I could use it as a guide.”

The post generated a lot of attention on social media, with users having fun with his wife’s organisational skills. Many appreciated her knack for detail, with one comment saying, “That’s something really helpful for beginners in the sabzi market.”

Another user commented: “Wow, the effort and attention to detail is incredible. Hats off to her, but the husband is a little scared as she leaves no room for error.”

“It looks like a religious book written by great scholars. It’s scary if something goes wrong,” a third person joked.

A fourth humorously commented: “Impressive specs… I’m talking to my wife about this for confirmation.”
