Mumbai-based Bizongo appoints CEOs, COO and CFO for new business verticals

Bizongo, a Mumbai-based B2B e-commerce platform, has made key appointments to strengthen its leadership team.

The company has separated its business verticals, BizongoBuy and BizongoFin, appointing new CEOs to lead each unit.

In addition, the company has hired a new Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO) and a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The development is part of Bizongo’s broader strategy to expand its e-commerce and integrated financing platforms, particularly targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in India.

New leadership for BizongoBuy, BizongoFin

As part of the company’s restructuring, BizongoBuy, its commodities marketplace, and BizongoFin, its integrated supply chain finance platform, are now being developed as independent business units.

Bizongo has appointed Prahlad Krishnamurthi, a former Cleartrip executive, as CEO of BizongoBuy. Krishnamurthi, who has over two decades of experience in leading high-growth companies, will focus on ensuring reliable and cost-effective raw material supply for SMEs.

In the fintech sector, Kiran Dev, a former banker with over 19 years of experience, has been appointed CEO of BizongoFin.

Dev’s extensive experience at Disprz and Standard Chartered Bank positions her to lead BizongoFin’s efforts to address the $300 billion unmet credit needs of SMEs through integrated, flow-based financing.

Strengthening financial and technological functions

Bizongo has also strengthened its leadership in finance and technology. Gaurav Singhania, who has over 20 years of experience in companies such as American Express and LendingKart, has joined as Group CFO.

Singhania’s role will be crucial as the company strengthens its financial management in preparation for an upcoming IPO.

Additionally, Bizongo has appointed Amol Wanjari as Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO).

Wanjari, who previously worked at Amazon and Acko, will lead efforts to deliver an e-commerce-like experience tailored to Indian SMEs. His experience will help streamline Bizongo’s digital platforms, making them more accessible and efficient for businesses.

Growth vision in the B2B e-commerce market

Sachin Agrawal, Co-Founder and CEO of Bizongo, highlighted the importance of the new appointments in the company’s growth trajectory.

“The market opportunity in Indian B2B e-commerce is growing rapidly, driving growth in trade, finance and logistics,” Agrawal said.

“We have achieved significant growth momentum across our digital platforms for integrated commodity procurement and integrated supply chain finance. With the addition of Kiran, Prahlad, Gaurav and Amol, we are bringing in leaders with diverse and complementary skill sets who will significantly contribute to Bizongo’s vision of bringing technology to enterprises in simple and meaningful ways to make business move.”
