Chandigarh: The Congress will release its manifesto for the Haryana Assembly elections on Wednesday. Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge will release the Congress manifesto. The Congress is contesting 89 seats in the Haryana State Assembly elections. The party has left one seat to the CPIM under the Indian alliance. The Congress has termed its manifesto as ‘Letter of Guarantee’. In the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP retained power in the state with the help of independents and the JJP. Following the Congress’ letter of guarantee, national leaders can start campaigning in Haryana. Rahul Gandhi is expected to hold several rallies and roadshows in Haryana. The Congress has announced seven guarantees for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. The party is fighting in alliance with the National Conference in the state.

What’s in the Congressional letter of guarantee?
The Congress party can make big promises in its manifesto on loan waiver to farmers and Agniveer Yojana. Along with this, the way the Congress is raising the issue of unemployment in the state. In view of this, the Congress can announce confirmation of temporary employees and new recruitments. Apart from this, the Congress party can also make announcements related to women in the state. In this, the Congress can make big promises similar to those in Karnataka and Telangana. Leaders of the party will be present at the launch of the Congress guarantee letter. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge will make this known before the media at the party headquarters at 2 pm. Voting for the assembly elections in Haryana will be held on October 5. The counting of votes will be done on October 8.
