According to Sportico, Travis Kelce’s licensing revenue could skyrocket by a total of 177%, and a major factor behind the exponential rise in his off-field earnings is his partnership with Taylor Swift.
Sportico conducted a survey of the highest-earning NFL players, considering both their franchise contracts and their off-field earnings from sponsorships and other initiatives.
Travis will reportedly earn $30 million for his off-field activities, the most of any player in the league.
Kelce has been in the NFL since 2013, but his relationship with Taylor Swift has apparently played a major role in his rising popularity. The nine-time Pro Bowler has even outperformed his teammate. Patrick Mahomes who ranks second in terms of highest off-field earnings, as he could earn $27 million.
Travis Kelce is expected to make $17 million under his contract with the Chiefs and is the 11th highest-paid player in the league overall, but what stands out is that while all the other players on the roster are primarily quarterbacks and WRs, he is the only tight end.
