Bengal Weather Update: The Alipore Meteorological Department in West Bengal said there will be light to moderate rainfall in the districts of South Bengal this week. Rain (Rain will continue.) There is a possibility of thunderstorms in five districts on Friday. These five districts are North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, East Midnapore, West Midnapore and Jhargram.
Kolkata will be partly cloudy
Light to moderate rain is also expected in the districts of North Bengal. However, there is no warning of heavy rain in any part of the state. The sky will be partly cloudy in Kolkata. Due to low pressure, South Bengal has been inundated with continuous rain since last Friday. The sea has been rough for the last few days due to the low pressure. Strong winds of 40 to 50 km per hour were blowing in the north of the Bay of Bengal near the coast of West Bengal, Bangladesh and Odisha. According to the Meteorological Department, the sea will remain calm for the time being.
Rain chances increase from Friday
There is a possibility of increasing rainfall from Friday. North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, East Medinipur, West Medinipur and Jhargram may get wet on Friday. However, heavy rainfall is not expected in these districts. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms. Yellow alert has been issued in many districts. The weather is likely to remain similar on Saturday as well. There is no possibility of heavy rainfall in North Bengal. The sky will remain mostly clear. The temperature will gradually rise.
