Sarkari Naukri Opening: Patna. There is good news for the unemployed youth of Bihar. In this exercise, 45 thousand health workers will be appointed in the health department. This includes a dozen posts among doctors, nurses, pharmacists and laboratory technicians. This process is expected to begin from October 2024. The main reason for my appointment process has been the dilemma regarding reservation. Earlier, the Health Department had sought vacancies by delisting various posts from districts on the basis of 65 per cent reservation, but after the Patna High Court barred increasing reservations, the department has again decided to restore them on the basis of old provisions. A target has been set to complete this recruitment process in the next 6 months.
The list will be made on the basis of 50 percent reservation.
The Health Department has also started securing vacancies for some posts after clearing the list on the basis of 50 per cent reservation from districts. Vacancies for almost all posts are expected to be available along with the list next month. Vacancies will also be sent to the General Administration Department. Subsequently, the information will be sent to various commissions including the Technical Service Commission. The Commission will give eligible candidates an opportunity to apply for about a month. After completing the selection process, the Health Department will take recommendations from the Commission from eligible candidates. Health Minister Mangal Pandey reviewed vacancies in various posts in the department with departmental officials in June. The minister had directed the officials to complete appointments for all vacant posts, including doctors and nurses, on a mission mode. Two days ago, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena also directed officials of the Health Department to fill up all vacant posts.
Delay due to reservation problem
The Health Department had set a target of completing the recruitment in all 45,000 posts by the end of October, but due to the reservation issue, there is a delay in starting the recruitment process. The department has intensified the appointment process for the vacant posts related to the health department, including doctors, dentists, nurses, ANMs, GNMs, CHOs and paramedics. Nurses will be appointed for a maximum of 21,000 posts. 1,339 Assistant Professors will be appointed under the Health Department and National Health Mission. 3,523 Specialist Doctors and 396 General Practitioners will be appointed. 1,290 General Practitioners will also be appointed on contractual basis.
