The Central Board of Secondary Education has postponed the CBSE CTET examination from December 2024. The notification of new date of central entrance and eligibility examination is available for the candidates on the official website of CBSE CTET at ctet.nic.in.

As per the official notification, CBSE CTET December 2024 exam, scheduled to be held on 1st December 2024, has been postponed and will now be held on 15th December 2024. The decision to postpone the exam was taken due to administrative reasons.
The Board has also stated that if there are more candidates in any city, it may conduct the exam on December 14, 2024.
The official notice reads, “This is in continuation of this office letter No. F. No. CBSE/CTET/Dec./2024/e-73233 dated 13.09.2024 wherein it has been notified that the 20th edition of CTET is scheduled to be held on 1st December, 2024 in 136 cities across the country. Now due to administrative reasons, CTET is rescheduled to 15th December, 2024 (Sunday). In case the number of candidates is more in any city, the examination can also be conducted on 14th December, 2024. The online application process has already started from 17.09.2024. The last date to submit the online application is 16.10.2024 (11.59 pm). Rest of the guidelines will remain the same as mentioned in the Newsletter.”
CBSE CTET December 2024: How to apply
Candidates who have not yet taken the exam can follow the steps to apply online.
Visit the official website of CBSE CTET at ctet.nic.in.
Click on the CTET December 2024 link available on the homepage.
A new page will open where candidates must register.
Once this is done, log in to the account.
Fill out the application form and pay the examination fee.
Click submit and download the confirmation page.
Keep a printed copy of the same for future needs.
The examination fee for general/OBC category candidates is ₹1000/- only for Document I or II and ₹1200/- for paper I and II. For candidates of SC/ST/Diff. Disabled category, the examination fee is ₹500/- for work I or II and ₹600/- for paper I and II. Payment of fees can be made online, by debit card, credit card or net banking.
