CTET 2024 exam is rescheduled, check the new date and other details here

CTET 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday rescheduled the exam date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 Due to administrative reasons, as per the official notification, CTET 2024 exam will be held on 15th December (Sunday). Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on 1st December.

Candidates should note that if the number of candidates is more in any city, the CBSE board may also conduct the exam on December 14.

“This is in continuation of this Office Letter No. F. No. CBSE/CTET/Dec./2024/e-73233 dated 13.09.2024 wherein it has been notified that the 20th edition of CTET is scheduled to be held on 1st December, 2024 in 136 cities across the country. Now due to administrative reasons, the CTET is rescheduled to be held on 15th December, 2024 (Sunday).

In case the number of candidates is higher in any city, the exam may also be held on December 14, 2024,” the notice reads.

It is important to note that the CBSE board has already opened the online application process for the CTET December 2024 exam from September 17 and the last date to submit online application It is on October 16th until 11:59 p.m.

Candidates should note that the CBSE board has reduced the exam cities for the December edition to 136 as compared to the July edition where the exam was held in 184 cities.

CTET 2024: Exam Schedule

The CTET 2024 will be conducted in two shifts. Test II will be conducted in the morning shift, which is scheduled to start at 9:30 am and conclude at 12 pm, while Test I will be conducted in the afternoon shift, which will run from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

CTET 2024 Registration: Exam Fee

He examination fee For registration for the CTET exam it is 1000 only for Document I or II and 1200 for Paper I and Paper II for General/OBC(NCL) category candidates. The registration fee for the examination is 500 for a single paper and 600 for both the exams for SC/ST/Differentially Abled category candidates.

CTET 2024 Registration: How to apply online?

  • Go to the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in.
  • Click on the “Apply Online” registration link visible on the home page
  • Sign up after a new page opens after clicking the link
  • Complete the online application form and note the registration number/application number.
  • Upload last scanned photo and signature
  • Pay the exam fee with debit/credit card or online banking
  • Submit and download the page.
  • Please print the confirmation page for your records and future reference.

The candidate should note that he/she is required to enter his/her personal details i.e. name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth as per the 10th Grade Certificate. No request for change of personal details will be entertained under any circumstances after the date specified for online correction has expired.
