Four arrested with weapons in Gaya Junction, campaign underway for safety of Pinddanis

The RPF and Railway Police team arrested four miscreants who were planning a robbery near the yard of Gaya Railway Station early on Friday morning. Two country-made firearms, four live cartridges, steel knife, iron punch, mobile and other items have been recovered from them. The arrested miscreants have been identified as Sumit Kumar, a resident of Chhotki Nawada under Delha Police Station area, Chhotu Kumar alias Chhola, Sameer alias Omkar and Vikas Kumar, residents of Bairagi under Delha Police Station area.

Measures taken on the basis of secret information.

Bunty Ryder, a resident of Bairagi under the Delha police station area, fled from the spot. Notably, the police received information that some youths were present near the yard. Following this, RPF Inspector Ajay Prakash, Sub-Inspector Rajendra Prasad, Circle Inspector Sushil Kumar, Inspector and Station House Officer Rajesh Kumar Singh and other soldiers reached the spot. During this time the criminals started fleeing after seeing the police. By acting promptly, all four criminals were caught.

The criminals were planning to commit a robbery.

Railway station in-charge Rajesh Kumar Singh said that during interrogation, the arrested criminals said that they were planning to commit robbery. RPF sub-inspector Rajendra Prasad has lodged an FIR at the railway station. The police are taking further action. In this regard, Railway SP Amrtendu Shekhar Thakur said that a special monitoring drive is being carried out with regard to the Pitru Paksha Fair. Meanwhile, action has been taken on the basis of secret information.

Some of the arrested criminals have already been in prison.

It has been said that among the arrested criminals, Sumit Kumar, Chhotu Kumar alias Chhola, Sameer alias Omkar and absconding Bunty Rider were earlier arrested on November 30, 2022 with two pistols and a stolen mobile phone and sent to jail. An FIR was registered at the railway station following the written complaint filed by Sub-Inspector Javed Ekbal. The absconding accused was arrested and a case was registered against him under the RPUP Act in the year 2022.

A continuous campaign is being carried out for the safety of Pinddanis.

Ahead of Pitru Paksha fair, a continuous drive for the security of Pind Daanis is being carried out at Gaya Railway Station, station premises, auto stand, cycle stand, foot overbridge and platform. In this regard, DDU Divisional Senior Commander Jethin B Raj said that continuous monitoring is being done. Feedback is being received from officers and soldiers posted at different places. A continuous drive for the security of Pinddanis is being carried out.
