Tata Group: Air India’s domestic market share rises to 27%, international to 24%

Indian air has grown market share in FY24 from the previous year, increasing its domestic share to 27% from 24% and international share to 24% from 21%, driven by network expansion and service improvements.

Tata Group’s Vistara, in which Singapore Airlines Air India, which has a stake, is set to merge with Air India to create India’s only full-service carrier (FSC), while Air India Express and AIX Connect are merging to form a larger low-cost carrier (LCC). The group has ordered 470 aircraft, including 370 optional ones.
