IIM Sambalpur to introduce artificial intelligence in classrooms, it announced during its 10th foundation day celebrations | Education

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur is set to introduce artificial intelligence in the classroom with an aim to transform the way students learn and acquire knowledge. This announcement was made on the 10th foundation day of the institute, Monday, September 23, 2024.

IIM Sambalpur celebrated its 10th foundation day on 23rd September 2024.

Speaking at the event, Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur, said that the implementation of AI in classrooms will enable a transformative learning experience. Professor Jaiswal also spoke about plans to organise a Women Empowerment Summit in February to promote the goals of Viksit Bharat.

He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and others who contributed towards the construction of the institute.

Uday A. Kaole, Chairman and Managing Director, MCL, who attended the event as the Chief Guest, congratulated IIM Sambalpur for its achievements and lauded Professor Jaiswal for his successful leadership.

Other keynote speakers on the occasion included Dr. Anurag Batra, Guest of Honour, Nishita Baliarsingh, Co-Founder & CEO, Nexus Power, and Anindya Ghosh, Associate Partner, IBM.

Inauguration of the second edition of the IDE Bootcamp Phase I

Coinciding with the celebrations of the foundation day, the second edition of Phase 1 of the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp has been launched. The initiative, which will run until September 27, 2024, is led by the Ministry of Education, AICTE and the Innovation Cell (MIC) of the Ministry of Education.

It aims to foster innovation, design and entrepreneurial skills among innovative students across India, a press release said.

The statement added that the Bootcamp was held simultaneously in nine prestigious institutions across the country and was attended by more than 3,000 innovative students and innovation ambassadors from higher education institutions across the country.

As part of the event, an innovators and startups exhibition was held with over 70 startups from across the country showcasing their unique products ranging from technology products, agricultural products, and healthcare products, etc.
