Interestingly, the Mumbai-based automobile manufacturing company received over 1,76,218 bookings for the Thar Roxx in an hour, suggesting a likely long waiting period for customers. The company plans to produce 6,500 units of the Thar Roxx every month.
The Thar Roxx comes in multiple variants including 4×2 models like MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L and AX7L. The 4×4 version is available in MX5, AX5L and AX7L finishes. The 4×2 versions are powered by a 2.0-liter turbopetrol engine with 160 hp and 330 Nm, or a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 150 hp and 330 Nm, both associated with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The 4×4 variants of the Thar Roxx are powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The 6-speed manual version produces 150 HP and 300 Nm, while the 6-speed automatic offers 172 HP and 370 Nm.
Mahindra has introduced a new mocha interior option for the Thar Roxx, in addition to the existing two-tone scheme of ivory and black. The new option was introduced after customer feedback about off-white interiors becoming dirty during off-road activities.
However, it is worth noting that the mocha interior is available exclusively on the 4×4 variants, and customers can choose between the two colors when booking.
Deliveries of the Thar Roxx with ivory interiors will begin in October, while those opting for mocha interiors will receive their vehicles from January 2025.
The gasoline version of the Thar Roxx is only available in 2WD version, offering a 2.0-liter turbopetrol engine with two power outputs: 160 HP/330 Nm for the manual variant and 177 HP/380 Nm for the automatic.
