Like every journey has its ups and downs, Lexi’s had them too. Last year he gained 40kg again after being diagnosed with calciphylaxis. The rare disease “completely changed my life and made me question how strong I really was,” Lexi wrote in a post.

For those who don’t know, calciphylaxis is a rare disease that causes calcium deposits to build up in the blood vessels of fat and tissues. Lexi’s journey has continued to inspire many people. Recently, she took to her official Instagram account and shared an emotional video in which she told the audience that she weighed “her lowest” today, which was 77.5kg.

“I worked very hard to get as low as I could before skin removal to 173 pounds, which was the smallest I had ever been as someone who had been overweight all my life. Honestly, I spent many years thinking I had never lost weight and tried some type of diet. Gaining 100 pounds and fighting a rare disease happened, but since I had seen it was possible before, I knew that this time I would find strength again to fight for my health,” he mentioned.

In most of his posts, Reed mentions using the rowing machine, walking on the treadmill, and using the stair climber. He has also documented the difficulties he faced when performing moves such as lifting his legs in the captain’s chair. However, he continued to do it and eventually mastered it again a few months later.

Time and time again he has attributed his recent weight loss to his nutrition. While she was hospitalized, she had trouble keeping food down. “I wasn’t focused on what I was eating. I was just trying to force myself to eat because I was in so much pain. “I literally didn’t want to move,” Reed told Today.com.

Reed prefers protein-rich meals that include salmon, turkey burgers, asparagus, broccoli, and cottage cheese.
