Mumbai: Prime minister Narendra Modi On Saturday, October 5, he visited the Jagdamba Mata temple in Poharadevi, Washim district, Maharastra where he offered prayers. He also honored the memory of Sant Sevalal Maharaj and Sant Ramrao Maharaj by paying tributes at their ‘samadhis’ located in Poharadevi.

The Prime Minister arrived this morning at Nanded airport, where he was received by BJP leader Ashok Chavan. From there, he flew to Poharadevi by helicopter. The Prime Minister is on a one-day visit to Maharastra . After Washim, he will travel to Thane and Mumbai to inaugurate a series of infrastructure projects.

The Prime Minister engaged in a vibrant display of cultural enthusiasm by tasting a traditional dhol during his visit to the Jagdamba Mata temple in Poharadevi, Washim.

Prime minister Narendra Modi plans to launch various development initiatives in Maharastra totaling more than 56,000 million rupees.

Most significant is the inauguration of Mumbai Metro Line 3, the city’s first fully underground metro system. This line will link Colaba, Bandra and SEEPZ, with an initial 12.69 km stretch between Aarey JVLR and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) opening soon. During the farewell ceremony at BKC, Prime Minister Modi will travel by metro and communicate with students, workers and beneficiaries of government schemes.
