Odisha govt regularizes services of 9,200 young teachers

Bhubaneswar, The odisha government regularized the services of 9,200 junior teachers participate in primary and higher schools under the Samagra Shiksha scheme, according to an official document. As per the professional promotion policy of teachers, junior teachers (schematic), also called Sikshya Sahayaks and junior teachers (contractual), have been regularized for the Level V (A) post of the primary school teachers cadre after completing six years of continuous and satisfactory service, the department said.

In no case, untrained young teachers and those who have not qualified for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) will be regularized, he stated.

On Saturday, the state government also handed over appointment letters to 16,009 newly hired teachers in primary and higher schools under various plans.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi delivered some of the letters of appointment during a function at Kalinga Stadium here in the presence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
