Mahindra Thar 3-door offered with discounts of Rs 1.6 lakh
New Delhi: Mahindra has seen a drop in sales Thar 3 doors after the launch of the new 5-door Thar Roxx in India. To boost sales, the company is offering limited-time festive discounts of up to Rs 1.6 lakh on the 3-door model.
Apart from dealer discounts on the retro-style SUV, customers will also receive a complimentary Mahindra accessory kit worth Rs 25,000.
The variant that receives the smallest discount is the AX diesel-manual 2WD hardtop. Next up are the Thar LX 2WD Petrol Automatic Hardtop and the LX Diesel-Manual 2WD Hardtop, which are offered with discounts of up to Rs 1.25 lakh. Other models in the AX and LX range, including manual and automatic variants, are available with discounts of up to Rs 1.3 lakh.
The Thar Earth Edition, which comes with 4×4 drive as standard, is available in petrol and diesel versions, with manual or automatic transmission options. This special edition features an exclusive matte finish called “Desert Fury” and wears exclusive “Earth Edition” badges on the B-pillars and rear fenders. The interior follows a similar desert-inspired theme, with two-tone beige and black leatherette upholstery. The headrests are adorned with dune-shaped lines, while dark chrome accents can be found on the Mahindra logo on the steering wheel, cupholders, gear knob and gear console.
Currently, the 3-door Thar is available at most dealerships with minimal waiting periods. However, high-demand variants like the petrol Thar 2WD and the entry-level diesel 2WD LX have waiting periods of around a month in certain areas.
