IT firm Wipro on Sunday said its board of directors will consider issuance of extra shares in a meeting scheduled for October 16-17, 2024.

Wipro will announce its Q2FY25 results on October 17, 2024.

“The board of directors of the company shall consider a proposal for issue of bonus shares, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 (including the rules and regulations framed thereunder), Securities and Exchange Board of India (Regulations on the Issuance of Capital Requirements and Disclosure, 2018, in its meeting scheduled for October 16 and 17, 2024,” reads a regulatory document.

Wipro CEO and CEO Srini Pallia said the company is “confident” in its ability to better execute bookings and profitable growth in the second quarter, as it continues to develop the ai360 strategy and prepare its workforce for a future where AI comes first.

Wipro shares settled at Rs 528.95 on Friday on the BSE, up 0.77 per cent from the previous close.
