CM Yogi News: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a strict stand on the violence that took place during the immersion of Durga idol in Hardi police station area of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. He has instructed officials to identify miscreants and take strictest action against them. CM Yogi also asked to ensure that the immersion of the idol takes place on time and without any interruption and for this communication should be established with the religious organisations.
The Chief Minister directed the administration and police officers to ensure the safety of everyone and ensure their presence at the venue. Furthermore, he also ordered to identify the officers whose negligence led to this incident and action will be taken against them.
What is the problem?
On Sunday (October 13), a dispute broke out between two communities over a DJ’s performance during the Durga idol immersion procession in Maharajganj, Bahraich. The dispute escalated so much that first stone throwing and then shooting began between the two parties. In this shooting, Ram Gopal Mishra, 22, was shot and immediately taken to hospital, but died during treatment.
Impact of the incident and police action
There is an atmosphere of tension in the area after the incident. Due to this, the immersion processions in different parts of the city were stopped. The police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control and seven other people were injured. According to police sources, stones and shots were fired during the incident. The family members of the deceased and local people demanded that strict action be taken against the culprits. Senior administrative and police officials are monitoring the situation and given the seriousness of the incident, the Chief Minister has ordered to immediately bring the situation under control and take strict action against the culprits.

The UP forensic team has reached the spot and is collecting evidence, while a large number of heavy police forces are also deployed at the spot. Let us tell you that Ram Gopal Mishra was brutally murdered inside the Maharajganj market during the Durga Puja immersion. At the same time, this incident occurred regarding the hoisting of the flag during the immersion of the Durga idol. Some people also threw stones at the procession. In which half a dozen people have also been injured. According to the information received, the advance post and SHO Hardi have been suspended. Additionally, 25 people have been arrested, but the main culprit has not yet been caught.
