According to the RCMP, investigations have uncovered a connection between Indian officers and various criminal acts in Canada, including homicides and organized crime operations targeting members of the South Asian community.
“In recent years, and more recently, law enforcement agencies in Canada, including the RCMP, have successfully investigated and charged a significant number of people for their direct involvement in homicides, extortion and other criminal acts of violence”.
The RCMP revealed that investigations have revealed the involvement of Indian diplomats and consular officials in collecting sensitive information, which was allegedly used to intimidate and harm individuals, especially those associated with pro-Khalistan movements.
“Furthermore, there have been more than a dozen credible and imminent threats to life that have led to the enforcement of the duty to warn by law enforcement with members of the South Asian community, and specifically members of the pro movement. -Khalistan.”

As diplomatic efforts stall, the expulsion marks another low point in the Canada-India relationship, raising concerns about future collaboration on shared security challenges.
