The amount of Maiya Samman Yojana has been increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 2500 per month: रांची: The Jharkhand Cabinet on Monday approved increasing the financial assistance provided to women to Rs 30,000 per year from the current Rs 12,000. The state government provides Rs 1,000 per month to women under the ‘Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maniya Samman Yojana’ (JMMSY).
Maiya Samman Yojana has been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500 per month “The Cabinet has approved the proposal to increase the financial assistance given to beneficiaries of Maniya Samman Yojana from Rs 1,000 per month to Rs 2,500 per month,” Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said. This assistance will be provided to 50 lakh beneficiaries of the scheme from December 2024. This will entail an additional burden of Rs 9,000 crore (on the state).” The BJP has promised to provide financial assistance of Rs 25,000 a year to women in the state if they are elected to power.
