The old flavor has returned to the Institute of Women’s Studies of LU, founded in the year 1997. The course of Master of Arts in Women’s Studies began in the last session 2023-24. PG Diploma studies were also started at Garbh Sanskar. Now Dr Manini Srivastava, coordinator of the Institute of Women’s Studies, has made preparations to restart the PhD programme. Which has also been maintained in the PhD admission process for the 2024-25 academic call. Dr. Manini says that due to the delay in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the name of the topic could not be included in the notice issued for the 2023-24 session. But in this session the admission will be made in three places.

Many Institute of Women’s Studies courses were discontinued due to lack of student interest. After seven years, the master’s course in Women’s Studies has started from the academic session 2023-24. Similarly, admissions were also conducted in PG Diploma at Garbh Sanskar, which was closed since the year 2020.
