The entry-level MG Hector Style continues to be priced at Rs 13.99 lakh for petrol and Rs 17.30 lakh for diesel, while all other variants have seen a price hike. Petrol variants have seen price hikes from Rs 16,000 to Rs 20,000 and diesel variants from Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000. MG Motor reduced the price of the Hector by Rs 1 lakh earlier this year. So, the MG Hector now starts at Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 18.43 lakh for petrol and Rs 17.30 lakh to Rs 22.24 lakh for diesel (ex-showroom).

Speaking of the MG Hector Plusthe three-row SUV sees a price hike of Rs 20,000 to Rs 23,000 for the petrol manual variants, Rs 24,000 to Rs 25,000 for the petrol automatic and Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 for the diesel ones. The base variant Hector Plus Select Pro has also increased in price. The Hector Plus now starts at Rs 17.30 lakh and goes up to Rs 22.93 lakh for petrol, while the diesel range is priced from Rs 19.82 lakh to Rs 23.08 lakh (ex-showroom).

Both the Hector and Hector Plus are powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 141bhp, or a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 168bhp, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or CVT. for gasoline and a 6-speed manual. for diesel.

Standout features include 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, LED reading lights, a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and connected car technology. The MG Hector competes with the Tata Harrier, Mahindra Scorpio-N and Jeep Compass, while the Hector Plus takes on the likes of the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar.
