Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu on Thursday said the ministry is looking into amending civil aviation regulations to ensure strict action is taken against incidents of bomb threats to airlines.
“We are taking things seriously…we will take action,” Naidu said of the bomb threats. He emphasized that there needs to be changes in civil aviation rules and regulations to ensure strict action regarding bomb threats to airlines.
When asked if there is a conspiracy behind the bomb threats, the Minister responded: “All we know now is individuals and minors…”. He was speaking on the sidelines of an inauguration event for a civil aviation park at the civil aviation ministry premises in the national capital.
Police arrest minor for fake flight bomb threats
Meanwhile, Mumbai police on October 17 arrested a minor for allegedly posting bomb threats online on three flights earlier this week, India’s aviation minister said.
He said the person arrested was a minor and did not reveal any name.
