Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives Season 3 Review: Delhi vs Mumbai? The new season is more boring than monotonous with a lot of new faces but nothing to add.

The new season of Fabulous Wives of Bollywood Wives, now retitled Fabulous Wives vs. Bollywood Wives, desperately needs some drama. There are a lot of changes this season for fans of the (guilty pleasure) show presented by Dharmatic Entertainment. The Bollywood wives are now joined by three new faces: Riddhima Kapoor Sahni (Ranbir Kapoorsister of), Shalini Passi and Kalyani Saha. This time, the drama focuses on Delhi vs Mumbai, as if we haven’t had the same old conversation thousands of times. Fabulous Wives vs. Bollywood Wives is available to watch on Netflix.

Delhi vs Mumbai fails

To cut the chase short, the show seems to have run its course with frivolous gossip and drama, so now this silly production has added new faces just to add a bit of tadka to the same old model of the show. But instead of tadka, the new additions look like pesky elaichis that can ruin any dish.

We have Ranbir Kapoor echoing some of his doubts that his sister is on the show and being the stubborn person that he is, it could cause problems. But why are Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima watching Ranbir’s reaction together? How does that tell us something new? Why does Saif Ali Khan suddenly appear to ask if any of these women read? “Why” is perhaps the last word I should use in the context of such a needlessly boring and illogical show.

Season 3 takes its time to settle as we are introduced to the new faces and Shalini invites all the women to this lavish Delhi ball. The new hostess makes a grand entrance, much to the surprise of the other women around her, who raise their eyebrows. Shalini is undoubtedly the one who makes the most of being the center of attention. “I am the gossiper,” she proudly proclaims herself, and remains faithful to that image until the end. So much so that it even makes Karan Johar Choking on her drink when everyone meets for lunch another time, and Shalini said she was approached to play Mother India (for a play)!

Too safe, too boring

The show unnecessarily avoids the Delhi vs Mumbai equation in its premise. Surely neither woman is in the mood to add anything new to the conversation except the cliché of one city being too loud and brash over the other. Maheep and Bhavana also play it too safe this time to make a memorable impact. The entire Karwa Chauth episode is perhaps the most tedious and boring episode of the season, in which nothing memorable happens and everyone is busy smiling despite the weight of their heavy diamond necklaces. Even Orry’s cameo feels too forced to provoke any reaction.

Vague and unnecessarily overlong, Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives will prove to be a test of patience for even the show’s most ardent fans. Designed high-drama interactions aren’t dramatic enough, no matter what these women say to each other in person and then behind their backs. This season seems to have come after a draft during a casual lunch between Maheep and Riddhima, which was quickly given the green light after a meeting. Everything is very sad and boring.

Get ready for the World Cup…
