The Union Public Service Commission has postponed the UPSC ESE 2025 and Engineering Services prelims and main exams. Candidates can check the official notification on the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
As per the official notification, the Commission decided to conduct the ESE (Preliminary) 2025 exam on June 8, 2025 and the ESE (Main) 2025 exam on August 10, 2025.
Previously, the UPSC ESE preliminary exam was scheduled to be held on February 2 and the ESE main exam was scheduled to be held on June 22, 2025.
UPSC ESE 2025: Application window reopens on upsc.gov.in, apply till November 22
The Commission decided to postpone the UPSC Engineering Service exam and reopen the application window after the Government decided that recruitment for Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) will be done through civil services exams (for traffic, accounts and personnel sub-charts). and ESE (for the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Signals and Telecommunications and Warehouses subsectors).
The application period reopened on October 18 and will close on November 22, 2024. The correction period will reopen again on November 23 and close on November 29, 2024.
Candidates who have already applied for the exam do not need to reapply. However, they can make corrections to their OTR profile during the application period from October 18 to November 22, 2024.
The registration process began on September 18, 2024. This recruitment drive will cover 232 positions in the organization.
UPSC ESE 2025: How to Apply
Candidates can apply online by following the steps given below.
- Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
- Click on the active exam link and a list will appear.
- Now click on the ESE 2025 exam link and again a new page will open.
- Click the link to apply and complete registration details.
- Once this is done, log in to the account and fill out the application form.
- Make the payment of the application fee.
- Click submit and download the page.
- Keep a printout of the same for future needs.
