Cos lists 1.25 lakh opportunities under PM internship program

1.25 lakh companies have listed internship opportunities so far for candidates under the PM Internship Programaccording to sources. The portal dedicated to the scheme was launched for candidate registration at 5 pm on October 12.

Informed sources said on Saturday that 250 major companies have so far registered under the scheme and 1.25 lakh internship offers have been made by companies.

The pilot project of the scheme had planned to offer 1.25 lakh internship opportunities to candidates. The internships will begin on December 2.

People in the age group of 21 to 24 years can apply for the scheme, which is being implemented by the ministry of corporate affairs through the portal ‘www.pminternship.mca.gov.in’.

Under the scheme, an intern will receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs 5,000 for 12 months and a one-time grant of Rs 6,000.


The initial cost of the pilot project of the scheme is estimated at Rs 800 crore. Announced by the Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman in it Union Budget 2024The scheme aims to provide an opportunity to intern in India’s top 500 companies for 12 months.
