Fugitive shooter of JJ shooting arrested in UP after 32 years, Dawood Ibrahim’s shooters had fired bullets with AK47

The ‘Anti-Extortion Cell’ of the Mumbai Police has arrested the main accused of the famous 1992 JJ hospital shooting in Uttar Pradesh, 32 years after the incident. An official gave this information on Saturday. The officer said that the arrested accused has been identified as Tribhuvan Singh alias Shrikant Rai Ramapati. He said that three people had died in the shooting that occurred on September 12, 1992.

The official said that during the recent police investigation, information was received that Singh was lodged in a jail in Uttar Pradesh on a pretrial basis, following which his custody was obtained. A police official said the accused was produced before the Mumbai special court on Saturday, from where he was sent to police custody till October 25.

Arun Gawli and Dawood Ibrahim gang result

The infamous Mumbai government hospital shooting was the result of a feud between Arun Gawli and the Dawood Ibrahim gang that began with the murder of Haseena Parker’s husband Ibrahim Parker alias Ibrahim Lambu. According to police, after the murder, alleged Gawli gang members Vipin Sher and Shailesh Haldankar were beaten up by the mob and admitted to JJ Hospital.

According to the police, on September 12, 1992, gunmen, including Brijesh Singh and Subhash Singh of the Dawood Ibrahim gang, opened fire with AK-47s and revolvers and threw grenades, killing Haldner and two policemen. Police have arrested 30 accused in this case. The court sentenced Subhash Singh Thakur to life imprisonment, while in 2018 the police also arrested fugitive accused Mohammad Farooq Yasin Mansoor. He is still in custody.
