125cc motorcycles offer an ideal combination of comfort, features and fuel economy. Hence they constitute important sales for mass market two-wheeler manufacturers in India. But which brand sells the most 125cc motorcycles in our country? Is it Honda, Hero, TVS or Bajaj? We will list the best selling 125cc motorcycles in India in September 2024 to answer this question.
Best Selling 125cc Bikes: Honda SP 125 / Shine 125
Honda’s 125 cc duo, the SP 125 and the Shine 125, took the top spot as the best-selling 125 cc motorcycles in September 2024. The two-wheeler maker sold 1,53,476 units of these two motorcycles. This is an increase of 13.40 percent compared to last year. As of September 2024, the combined sales of SP 125 and Shine 125 were 1,35,339. He Honda Shine 125 prices fall between Rs 81,251 (ex-showroom) and Rs 85,251 (ex-showroom). The SP 125 is sold at a starting price of Rs 87,468 (ex-showroom), going up to Rs 91,468 (ex-showroom) for its top version.
Best Selling 125cc Bikes: Bajaj Pulsar 125 / NS 125
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 twins come second in this list. Bajaj sold 78,590 units of Pulsar 125 and NS125 during September 2024, an increase of 16.85 per cent over last year when 67,256 units of these motorcycles rolled out of Bajaj dealerships. Prices of the Pulsar 125 start from Rs 92,883 (ex-showroom), while those of the NS125 start from Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom).
Best Selling 125cc Bikes: television raider
The TVS Raider is in third place. In September 2024, TVS sold 43,274 units of the Raider, a slight decrease from last year when it sold 48,753 units. Prices for the TVS Raider range between Rs 84,869 (ex-showroom) and Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec trim.
Best Selling 125cc Bikes: Hero Xtreme 125R
The Hero Xtreme 125R is also a popular option in the 125cc segment. In September 2024, Hero sold 37,520 units of this bike. It’s a commendable sales figure, considering the Xtreme 160R was launched not long ago. Prices for this 125cc Hero start from Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 99,500 (ex-showroom) for the ABS variant.
Best Selling 125cc Bikes: Hero Splendor
Hero sold 26,318 units of the Splendor in September 2024, a slight increase of 3.16 per cent compared to last year when 25,511 units of the bikes rolled out of Hero dealerships. Prices for the Hero Splendor start from Rs 75,441 (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 78,286 (ex-showroom).
Best Selling 125cc Bikes: Hero Glamor
The Glamor is the third Hero bike to feature in the list of best-selling motorcycles in September 2024. This despite Hero selling only 19,831 units of this bike, a massive drop of 44.26 percent compared to the same period last year when 35,578 units of the Glamor were sold. Prices for the Hero Glamor start from Rs 82,598 (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 86,598 (ex-showroom).
Best Selling 125cc Bikes: Bajaj Freedom
Bajaj sold 19,639 units of the Freedom in September 2024. This is the homegrown two-wheeler maker’s first launch in the 125cc segment. The Glamor is sold in India at a starting price of Rs 95,055 (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
