BREAKING: Panic after bomb threat at Lucknow’s Taj hotel ahead of Diwali, search operation underway

Lucknow Taj Hotel: The Taj Hotel located in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, has received a bomb threat. This threat was given via email. According to the information received from the police, the email stated that there were bombs at various places in the Taj Hotel premises. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and sealed the entire hotel. A canine brigade also attended the scene.

Initial investigations have revealed that some mischievous element has sent threatening emails to spoil the atmosphere during the Christmas holidays. Let us tell you that similar threats were issued to 10 hotels in Lucknow on Sunday (October 27). However, so far no suspicious objects of any kind have been found. Police and security agencies are currently investigating the matter.

The 10 hotels that received bomb threats on Sunday include Marriott, Saraca, Piccadily, Comfort Vista, Fortune, Lemon Tree, Clark Awadh, Casa, Dayal Gateway and Silvette. The bomb disposal team thoroughly searched these hotels, but all threats were found to be unfounded.

In the email it was written that if a ransom of $55,000 (approximately Rs 4,624,288) was not paid, there would be an explosion. The threat read: “There are bombs hidden in black bags on the premises of your hotel. I want $55,000 or I will explode and blood will spill everywhere. Any attempt to defuse the bombs will cause them to explode.”
