A surprise in Rajasthan! A three-year-old girl is kidnapped outside a temple in Jodhpur and raped; the suspect is arrested

In a deeply disturbing incident in JodhpurIn Rajasthan, a three-year-old girl was abducted and allegedly raped while she was sleeping with her mother outside a temple. The incident occurred around 2 am. According to sources, a passerby who witnessed the abduction alerted the girl’s family, prompting immediate action.

The police were quickly notified and began a thorough investigation. Forensic Science Laboratory FSL teams were sent to the spot and senior police officials were also called in to monitor the situation. A thorough review of CCTV footage from various sources including the Abhay Command Centre was conducted. These footages proved instrumental in identifying the suspect, who was seen taking the girl from the spot.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Labhu Ram, the investigation traced the last known location of the suspect’s phone to Sardarpura area, leading to his arrest. The suspect, identified as Harish, a 45-year-old married man residing in Chopasni Housing Board area and working at a tea shop, was arrested after being located near Ghantaghar area.

Following the incident, the girl’s parents took her to Ummed Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment. The case has sparked outrage and concern in the community, highlighting the urgent need for improved security measures and surveillance to protect vulnerable people.

ADCP Director Labhu Ram Chaudhary confirmed that a woman was found at the Hanuman Temple on Pal Road early this morning, holding her child in her arms. Neighbours informed the police, who quickly arrived at the spot. The suspect was later identified and arrested while she was working at a local tea shop. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the details of this heartbreaking case.
