Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the rape and murder case of a lady doctor at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, is also getting some new information. According to some media outlets, a junior doctor was found bathing in the bathroom of the demolished chest medicine department, adjacent to the seminar room situated on the fourth floor of the emergency building of the hospital, on the night of August 8. It is reported that during the interrogation of some nurses and other staff members of the hospital, some facts related to the said matter were uncovered. On August 9, the body of a junior lady doctor was found in the seminar room itself. Later, the area adjacent to the seminar room was vandalised in the name of construction work. Sources say that the person bathing in the bathroom near the seminar room told the nurse that there were blood stains on the clothes. The said junior doctor had said that there was a patient in bed number four of the multi-drug resistance ward. While he was administering PRBC to her, there were blood stains on her clothes. However, an investigation has been initiated to verify the authenticity of the facts uncovered during the investigation. CBI is also busy tracing the said person.

The council suspended three young doctors

The West Bengal Medical Council has suspended three junior doctors who were close to Dr Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College. The council has suspended Avik De and Virupaksha Vishwas. Both are believed to have been present at the venue. They are also accused of threatening doctors and medical students. The council has also suspended Dr Mustafizur Rahman Mallik of Medinipur Medical College. These junior doctors will now be barred from performing the work of the State Medical Council.
