AAP MP Amanatullah Khan says emergency team reached his house to arrest him | India News

Senior AAP leader and MLA Amanatullah Khan on Monday claimed that an Enforcement Directorate (ED) team reached his house here to arrest him.

Sources said the ED team reached his house in Okhla as part of a money laundering investigation.

Teams of Delhi Police and the Central Reserve Police Force have been deployed at Khan’s residence.

In a post on X, Khan said: “A team of emergency responders came to my house to arrest me.”

“Early this morning, at the behest of the dictator, his puppet, the Education Department, came to my house. The dictator is sparing no effort to harass me and other AAP leaders,” said Khan, who represents Okhla in the Delhi Assembly.

Several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, attacked the BJP government at the Centre, saying that agencies are targeting those who raised their voice against the ruling party.

In a video on X, Khan also said he has been responding to all the notices sent to him by the agency, but a team is here to arrest him with a search warrant, he said.

On X, Sisodia said the only job left for the Education Department is to “suppress all voices raised against the BJP and do away with it”. Those who fail to do so will be arrested and jailed, he said.

Singh claimed that the Education Department has no evidence against Khan. According to him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “dictatorship” and the “hooliganism” of the Education Department continues.
