DUSU Election: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has announced the candidates for the Delhi Students Union elections. The National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student organisation of the Congress, has named Raunak Khatri as its candidate for the post of president in the students union elections. Yash Nandal has been named as its candidate for the post of vice-president, Namrata Jeff Meena for the post of secretary and Lokesh Chaudhary for the post of joint secretary. On the other hand, ABVP nominated Rishabh Choudhary for the post of president, Bhanu Pratap Singh for the post of vice-president, Mitravinda Karanwal for the post of secretary and Aman Kapasia for the post of joint secretary. Voting will be held for four seats in the students union elections on September 27 and the counting of votes will take place on September 28. The main contest in Delhi University has been between NSUI and ABVP. But this time the left-wing student organisations have decided to participate in the elections together. In such a situation, the elections of the student union may be interesting this time.
Both student unions declare victory
ABVP National General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla said that the way the Vidyarthi Parishad workers are engaged in resolving the problems of students in Delhi University 365 days a year, we will get the benefit in the elections and win all four seats with a huge margin. The ABVP will release the manifesto on Saturday. NSUI National President Varun Chaudhary said that we will win all the four seats. The victory of the NSUI candidates will bring a significant change in the political scenario of Delhi University. This election is aimed at resolving the problems of students and creating a better future for the university. Voting for the student union elections will be held in the morning shift from 8.30 am to 1 pm and in the evening shift from 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
