In the academic session 2024-25 in Delhi, the race for admission will begin from September 3 in reserved seats of Economically Backward Class (EWS)/Free category in private schools from classes 2 to 9. The private schools section of the Directorate of Education has released guidelines. According to this, you will have to apply online by September 13 by visiting the EWS link on the website www.edudel.nic.in. The first computerized draw will be held on September 20. Candidates selected in the draw will be able to report to the school for admission by October 4. An application will be valid from a mobile number. Parents’ Aadhaar card is mandatory during application. Residents of Delhi are eligible for admission to EWS seats. Residence certificate and income certificate issued by the Revenue Department will be valid for this, where the annual income should be less than one lakh. Additionally, BPL and AAY card holders will also be able to apply for admission.

Helpline Number Issued: Helpline number 9818154069 has been issued for complaints and queries related to the process. There will be an admission monitoring cell under the chairmanship of the Deputy District Education Officer. It will take cognizance of the admission related complaints. It will also ensure admission of the candidates selected in the computerized draw. Schools will not be allowed to ask for donation. Schools will not be allowed to ask for capitation fee/donation fee for admission.

Nodal officers appointed by the management

Fifteen nodal officers have been appointed to ensure admission to seats of economically backward class (EWS), disadvantaged category (DG) and children with special needs at the primary level (nursery, KG and class 1) in private schools in Delhi.
