After CUET PG result, 600 PG seats are still vacant in BHU, new list coming soon

The admission process for PG courses at BHU is almost complete. Classes have also started in the colleges from August 15. However, in the meantime, the BHU administration is making efforts to fill up around 600 seats that remained vacant in PG courses.

Following the release of the CUET PG results, the process of admission in PG subjects was started at BHU from July itself. Around two thousand seats in PG subjects fell vacant in the last session. Keeping this in mind, the Central Admission Committee this time took steps to ensure admission in all seats. Even after the admission and counselling process that lasted for almost a month, around 600 seats remain vacant in the main campus. Apart from this, admissions for three to four hundred PG seats in the affiliated colleges could not be held either. A meeting of the Central Admission Committee and the BHU administration for admission of vacant seats has been scheduled on Wednesday. A decision will be taken in the meeting to issue a fresh list of candidates for the remaining PG seats or to leave the seats vacant.

The second list of graduates will be announced tomorrow

The admission process for undergraduate courses is underway at BHU. The last date for deposit of fees was at 11.59 pm on Tuesday evening. Till late night, over 6,000 students deposited their tuition fees. However, out of 8,894 seats, about two and a half thousand seats remain vacant. Chairman of the Central Admission Committee, Prof. Bhaskar Bhattacharya said that the admission list for the second cycle in UG subjects will be released on Thursday.
