Elon Musk on Wednesday shared a video of himself dancing with the former US president and Republican candidate. Donald TrumpIt is noteworthy that the video shared by the Tesla boss on X was Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated.
The AI video shared by Musk features a duo dancing to the song Staying alive by The Bee GeesSpeaking about X, Musk shared the video and wrote: “Detractors will say this is AI.”

Previously, a video using an AI voice cloning tool to imitate the vice president’s voice Kamala Harris Saying things he didn’t say raises concerns about the power of AI to deceive about three months before Election Day.
The video gained attention after tech billionaire Elon Musk shared it on his social media platform X on Friday without explicitly noting that it was originally released as a parody.
By late Sunday, Musk had clarified that the video was intended to be satirical, pinning the original creator’s post to his profile and using a pun to point out that parody is not a crime.
The video uses much of the same footage as a real ad that Harris, the likely Democratic presidential nominee, released to launch her campaign. But the fake ad replaces Harris’ voiceover audio with an AI-generated voice that convincingly imitates Harris.
“I, Kamala Harris, am your Democratic nominee for president because Joe Biden finally exposed his senility at the debate,” the AI voice says in the video. It claims Harris is a “diversity hire” because she is a woman and a person of color, and says she doesn’t know “the first thing about how to run the country.” The video retains the “Harris for president” branding. It also adds some authentic past clips of Harris.
The video also raises questions about how best to handle content that blurs the boundaries of what is considered an appropriate use of AI, particularly if it falls into the category of satire.
The original user who posted the video, a YouTuber known as Mr Reagan, has revealed on both YouTube and X that the manipulated video is a parody. But Musk’s post, which has been viewed more than 123 million times, according to the platform, only includes the text “This is amazing” with a laughing emoji.
