Where is training provided after passing the BPSC exam?

Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) is providing training to the officers selected for various services of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Please be advised that earlier the selected officers were given training by their respective departments.

What is Bipard?

Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development is one of the important regulatory departments of the State Government. After the formation of Jharkhand State, Administrative Training Institute (ATI) and State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) located at Ranchi came under the State of Jharkhand. The officers and employees of the State of Bihar are required to be trained in public administration, good governance etc. and for this purpose the Government vide Notification No. 68 dated 28.03.2002 has set up an Administrative Training Institute at Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI), Phulwarisharif Institute, Patna (ATI) is established.

Similarly, the Government of Bihar vide Notification No. 7036 dated 15.09.2005 came into existence the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) and established it along with ATI at WALMI, Phulwarisharif, Patna. The Director General of ATI was also appointed as the Director General of SIRD. Both the institutes were merged and are now known as BIPARD which is now registered under the Companies Act, 1860 with effect from 1st April, 2006.

The use of technology in training and better support is the best of all the efforts being made within BIPARD to bring the latest technology to good governance.
