Recent comedian Tanmay Bhat He revealed that he and his friend developed an AI-powered app that will help people play pickleball. The sport has already gained popularity for its less complicated style of play and this app could help bridge the gap.
Tanmay Bhat said in a podcast, “I have been playing pickleball for the last six months. I love pickleball. I have a group that I play pickleball with in Mumbai and it’s the same six to eight people who come to play pickleball. A month ago I told the guys that we should have our own app that can keep track of who has won how many matches in pickleball.
“We should have our own tournament where the teams are two. We play each other, there should be a round robin, a semi-final and a final. So they told us how to do it.
“Then I called an engineer friend and sat down with him at Claude and then we built the app. He’s helping me implement it, he’s helping me do all that and get it on my phone.
“We just say that we haven’t succeeded. I just describe the problem. I use simple English to describe it. For example, I need to be able to enter my friends’ names, create teams, create a round-robin table and then enter the score and then move on after two rounds, semi-final and final.”
Recently, Pickleball League Asia Private Limited, in association with The Times Group, launched the Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) at a grand event in Dubai on July 24. PWR will enhance sports governance and future longevity by uniting regional groups under a single, cohesive structure.
The announcement was made by PWR at the event attended by Vineet Jain, MD -The Times Group and Bennett University Chancellor, Pranav Kohli, CEO and Founder of PWR, the world’s top Pickleball players including APP Tour Women’s World No. 1 Megan Fudge DeHeart, and other notables from the international Pickleball community.
