After the merger date, passengers will be able to board Vistara flights, which can be identified by the digit ‘2’ at the beginning of the flight numbers. In a statement, Vistara said: “After the merger of Air India and Vistara, the experience offered by Vistara will continue for customers. Vistara aircraft will be operated by Air India and will be identified by a special four-digit Air India code that starts with digit “2”. For example, UK 955 will become AI 2955 which will help the customer to identify it while booking on Air India official website after November 12.”

The airline has said that the routes and schedules operated by Vistara will remain the same, along with the Vistara inflight experience. This experience would include products and services that include the same menu and served by the same team.
Post merger, Air India will connect passengers to over 90 domestic and international destinations and over 800 more destinations through codeshare and interline partners.
Existing Club Vistara members will be seamlessly transferred to Air India’s Flying Returns programme. With this merger, Flying Returns will also evolve into a completely new avatar, the ‘Maharaja Club’.
