Anand Mahindra shares how traffic in Venice feels “calm” compared to Mumbai

Industrialist Anand Mahindra recently shared a post about his trip to Venice, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, where he encountered a traffic jam similar to that of Mumbai.

In a post on X, Anand Mahindra compared the traffic in Venice to the traffic jams in Mumbai.

Venice, the capital of Italy’s Veneto region, is a city of canals, famous for its waterways, Renaissance architecture and stunning scenery.

Despite the many differences between the two cities, Mahindra humorously compared Venice’s traffic to Mumbai’s congestion. In his post, he also shared a video showing gondolas and boats navigating through a crowded narrow canal.

“I travelled to Venice and found myself in a traffic jam like the one in Bombay (okay, I admit that this traffic jam is less stressful),” reads the caption of the post.

Social media users shared their thoughts in the comments section of Anand Mahindra’s post.

Read the comments:

“During the rainy season, you can visit Delhi instead of Venice. You will get a similar experience at a fraction of the cost,” wrote one user.

Another user said: “What a funny way to put it! It’s funny how traffic jams can seem so universal, even in a city as picturesque as Venice.”

Several users highlighted the charm of Venice’s traffic jams, with one saying: “Venetian version of ‘signal pe rukna’, only with a better view and at least no one honking.”

The fourth user added: “Looks like Mumbai traffic decided to follow you to Venice! At least this one has better views and a bit more charm.”
