Anjali, the woman who tried to self-immolate, dies

UP News: Anjali Jatav, the woman who attempted to self-immolate near the CM residence, died during treatment at KGMU. Anjali Jatav, a 40-year-old woman resident of Unnao, was admitted to KGMU on August 6, 2024. Where she was undergoing treatment in the plastic surgery department. According to doctors, Anjali suffered third-degree burns. She was burnt up to 85 percent. When she was admitted, her condition was very serious. The cause of death is said to be septic shock and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. According to KGMU spokesperson, Anjali died at 1.10 pm on Sunday afternoon.

When Anjali Jatav committed suicide, her two-year-old son was also with her. He made her sit on the roadside near Janeshwar Mishra Trust and attempted to self-immolate by pouring a flammable substance on himself. As it was a high-security area, a large number of policemen were also present there. The fire was quickly extinguished and he was taken to Hazratganj Civil Hospital. From where he was referred to KGMU. No one knows about the whereabouts of Anjali’s son.

He had attempted suicide at the instigation of the lawyer.

According to the police, Anjali Jatav poured petrol on herself and set herself on fire at the behest of advocate Sunil Kumar. The advocate is also a resident of Purva of Unnao. The police have found a voice recording of her conversation with the advocate on the woman’s mobile. There were also 57 telephone conversations between the advocate and the woman. Four voice recordings have been found on the phone from the morning of August 2 to 6. In which the advocate was telling her that ‘just do that work, there will be chaos’. CO-SO will bring everything under control. The advocate is also telling the woman to accuse the police of using caste-related abuses. By this, the SC-ST people will also get money.
