Jeevan Pramaan it’s a digital life certificate for pensioners who use biometric data linked to your aadhaar number. This certificate can be obtained by individual pensioners from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need to physically visit banks.
It is not necessary for a pensioner to appear personally before the Pension Disbursement Officer to obtain JeevanPramaan (DLC). The DLC is available to the Pension Disbursing Agency digitally and is processed automatically by them, so they do not need to receive it physically (at a bank, post office, etc.). Additionally, each DLC has a different ID known as Pramaan-Id.
What are the reasons why Jeevan Pramaan or DLC is not generated?
Jeevan Pramaan is not generated in case the pensioner provides incorrect data while submitting the DLC.
The following are the main reasons:
- Not having good lighting conditions.
- Keep Aadhaar locked up
- Keep the biometric locked.
- Not capturing the front pose of your face and capturing side poses
- Several people in the frame
- Not maintaining a proper distance from the phone camera
- Do not blink during scanning.
- Without keeping your face still
- Uneven or multi-colored background during scanning
- Slow internet connectivity
- The pensioner, who does not wear spectacles or spectacles, if the Aadhar card photograph is wearing spectacles or spectacles or vice versa.
- Using an Android smartphone that does not have version 9 or higher, a camera resolution less than 13 MP, and free storage space less than 500 MB
- If the problem persists, it is suggested to present the life certificate at the bank branch.
How to Download JeevanPramaan App for Windows?
Step 1: To download the Jeevanpramaan app, click on the “Download” tab at https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in
Step 2: Provide email ID, captcha and click “I agree to download”.
Step 3: You will receive OTP on your email ID; enter the OTP.
Step 4: Upon entering the correct OTP, the download page appears; Click ‘Download for Windows OS’
Step 5: You will receive a download link on your email ID; The link can only be clicked once after it expires; click on it.
Step 6: A .zip file containing the jeevanpramaan app will be downloaded; unzip the .zip file; after unzipping it, follow the instructions provided in the ‘client installation document’.
What information needs to be provided by a pensioner to generate the JeevanPramaan?
Pensioner is required to provide Aadhaar number, name, mobile number and self-declared pension related information such as PPO number, pension account number, bank details, name of sanctioning authority pensions, the pension disbursement authority, etc. The pensioner must also provide their biometrics, either Iris or Fingerprint.
Note: Incorrect information may result in the DLC being rejected by authorities.
