Last date for registration for JNVST 2024: Javihar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has extended the last date of application for JNV section test 2025-26 for admission in class 6. Parents who have not yet been able to fill the form for their children can now register from navodaya.gov.in till September 23. Earlier, the last date for filling the application form was till September 16. While filling the registration form, the necessary documents including the child’s photograph, signature of the parents, Aadhar card and residence certificate will have to be uploaded. The information provided by the parents will be verified by the principal of the school where the child has passed the fifth class. The child will be allowed to take admission in the JNV school of the district where he/she has passed the fifth class.
Age limit: To get admission in class 6 in JNV, a student must have been born between 1st May 2013 and 31st July 2015.
Exam schedule: The JNV selection test will be conducted in 2 phases. The first exam will be held on January 18, 2025. Whereas, the second phase exam will be held on April 12, 2025. The exam timing for both phases will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Exam Pattern: In the JNV Class 6 entrance exam, students will be asked 40 questions of 50 marks related to mental ability. There will be 20 questions of 25 marks in arithmetic. In the language test, 20 questions of 25 marks will be asked. These three sections will be included in a single assignment booklet. In this booklet, there will be a total of 80 questions of 100 marks. Students will be given 2 hours to complete the question paper. At the same time, disabled students will be given an additional time of 40 minutes.
According to the notification issued by JNV, there are currently a total of 653 Navodaya Vidyalayas in 27 states and 8 union territories of the country.
