Kevan Parekh to be Apple’s new CFO

California: Apple Today announced Kevan Parekh as its new CFO, confirming that Luca Maestros will step down from his role on January 1, 2025. The leadership change comes ahead of the company’s biggest and most anticipated event on September 9: the launch of the iPhone 16.

Kevan Parekh currently serves as Apple’s vice president of financial planning and analysis and will now join the executive team as its new chief financial officer.

Maestri will continue to lead the Corporate Services teams, including information systems and technology, information security, and real estate and development, and will continue to report to CEO Tim Cook.

“Luca has been an extraordinary partner in Apple’s long-term management. He has been instrumental in improving and driving the company’s financial performance, engaging with shareholders, and instilling financial discipline across all areas of Apple. We are fortunate to continue to benefit from the leadership and insight that have been the hallmark of his stewardship of the company,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

Who is Kevan Parekh?

Kevan Prekh has worked at Apple for more than a decade on the company’s finance leadership team and currently leads Financial Planning and Analysis, G&A Finance and Earnings, Investor Relations and Market Research.

In a press release, Apple said: “For more than a decade, Kevan has been an indispensable member of Apple’s financial leadership team and understands the company inside and out. His keen intellect, wise judgment and financial brilliance make him the perfect choice to be Apple’s next CFO.”

Prior to this role, Parekh led Apple’s global sales, retail and marketing operations. He began his tenure leading financial support for Apple’s product marketing, online sales and services, and engineering teams.

Prior to joining Apple, Parekh held several senior management positions at Thomson Reuters and General Motors. He holds a degree in electrical engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
