Jeremy Madix and Jonah Ahad in possession of marijuana

During security, customs and border agents found a total of 64 bags of marijuana in Jeremy’s bag, which weighed up to 76 pounds, and Jonah’s bag was allegedly filled with 31 bags of marijuana weighing 37 pounds. Court documents revealed that “both suitcases in Madix’s possession had her name on the luggage tags and the suitcase in Ahad’s possession had his name on the luggage tag,” The Mirror reported.

Attempts by law enforcement to obtain more information regarding the marijuana possession were in vain, as the two were unwilling to speak without their attorney present. The Vanderpump Rules star and her accomplice were not arrested immediately following the incident. They were later handcuffed and warrants and charges for cannabis trafficking were later issued. Jonah was first arrested in May and Jeremy was recently arrested on Tuesday.

Jeremy’s request to be released on bail

After his release, Jeremy applied to be released on bail. He submitted certificates from character witnesses, including one from his mother. Tanya Madix, Jeremy’s mother, wrote: “He is a wonderful and loving son. When he comes to visit, he always takes care of everything I want done at my house. He is a kind person. He always makes sure to look out for me.”

Another was from a deputy sheriff assigned to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s Air Support Division as a helicopter pilot. Ignacio “Rob” Gracia, the deputy sheriff, wrote: “I have always known Jeremy to be one of the kindest human beings I have ever met, there is not a mean bone in that man’s body. Anything [time] Whenever I’ve needed something, he’s always been there, even if it’s just to talk.”
