September car launches: Facelifted Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Curvv ICE, updated Classic 350 and more

As the festive season approaches, automakers are gearing up to meet the demand for new vehicles. September will see several exciting launches and options for customers. From the facelifted Hyundai Alcazar to the updated Royal Enfield Classic 350, here is a list of the new models that will be introduced next month.

Hyundai Alcázar

Hyundai has announced that the facelifted Alcazar will go on sale on September 9, 2024. The three-row SUV will be available in four trims – Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature – with 6- or 7-seating options. The updated Alcazar will offer 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, with manual and automatic transmissions. The current model is priced between ₹16.78 lakh and ₹21.28 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Curvv Ice Engine

Following the launch of the Curvv EV in July, Tata Motors will launch the ICE version on September 2. The new model will be powered by 1.2-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre TGDi turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines and will share similar design and features to the electric version.

MG Windsor EV

The Windsor EV will be launched in India on September 11, marking the first launch since MG’s collaboration with JSW. Key features of the new model include LED light bars, a panoramic sunroof, a steering wheel and a rear seat package. The Windsor EV is expected to be priced under ₹20 lakh.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS is expected to be launched in the Indian market on September 5, 2024. This luxury electric vehicle will be equipped with a 108.4 kWh battery and a dual-motor setup that supplies power to all four wheels. Its starting price is expected to be around Rs 4 crore (ex-showroom) and it made its global debut in April last year.

Next Generation Maruti Dzire

Maruti is gearing up to launch the next-generation Dzire sedan. The new Dzire, which has been spotted testing with minor design changes, will be the first sedan in its segment to feature an electric sunroof. The model is expected to be launched in September and will be powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-series engine as the Swift, with manual and AMT gearbox options.

New Jawa motorcycle

Jawa is planning to launch a new motorcycle on September 3. While details are scarce, the latest model is expected to follow a modern-meets-retro design theme. The new Jawa motorcycle is likely to be priced around ₹2 lakh.

Royal Enfield Classic 350

Royal Enfield is all set to launch the updated Classic 350 on September 1, 2024. It will be available in five variants – Heritage, Heritage Premium, Signals, Dark, and Classic Chrome. The new Classic 350 is expected to feature LED lighting all around. All variants will come with an LED headlamp, taillamps, and an LED taillamp.

The Dark and Classic Chrome versions will also get LED turn indicators and adjustable paddle shifters as standard. Additionally, the updated Classic 350 is likely to get a USB-C charger and a gear position indicator on all variants. However, alloy wheels and tubeless tyres will only be available on the Dark variant.
