B2B financial management startup Valyx raises $800,000 in pre-seed round

Valyx, an AI-powered B2B accounts receivable and revenue automation platform, has raised $800,000 in pre-seed funds round.

The round was co-led by Huddle Ventures and Waveform Ventures, with participation from notable investors including Bharat Founders Fund and Propell Fund (LetsVenture’s in-house venture capital fund led by Shanti Mohan).

The startup plans to use the capital raised to attract and onboard exceptional talent for its sales team and expand its engineering team to accelerate its product roadmap.

What does Valyx do?

Founded in late 2023, Valyx automates invoicing and accounts receivable, helping businesses accelerate payments, streamline financial close, and improve cash flow.

The startup’s comprehensive feature set includes rate card management, usage-based billing, collections, cash application, reconciliation, dispute management and collaborative accounts receivable tracking.

By automating these repetitive, yet critical, revenue and accounts receivable tasks, you free up finance and sales teams to focus on building stronger relationships with buyers.

The startup claims to have processed over Rs 200 crore in receivables since its inception.

Who are the founders?

The Bengaluru-based startup was founded by Avishek Ray and Anirudh Bhargava, who bring extensive experience in revenue automation, accounts receivable management and merchant payments.

While working at industry giants like Stripe, Amazon, SAP, Morgan Stanley, and Deloitte, the founders gained first-hand knowledge of the complex challenges faced by finance and sales teams. This understanding of industry pain points led them to launch Valyx to solve critical finance operations challenges.

“At Valyx, we are addressing a critical problem in financial operations. Many companies, regardless of size or complexity, struggle with repetitive and time-consuming tasks in managing their revenue and receivables,” said Avishek Ray.

“Our vision is to free finance and sales teams from these daily burdens. We’re eliminating the need to manually use Excel to track contracts and calculate usage, manual follow-ups, tedious bank statement downloads, and the frustration of searching through multiple tools, emails, and sheets to identify which customers require attention. By leveraging AI, customizable workflows, and integrations with ERP, payments, and back-office systems, Valyx automates the invoicing and accounts receivable pipeline. Our platform enables businesses to get paid up to 30% faster and close their books more efficiently,” Ray added.

Ishaan Khosla, Partner at Huddle Ventures, said: “The Accounts Receivable Management solution opens up a world of possibilities within the Valyx cash flow management suite. Mid-market and enterprise customers are eager to streamline their manual collection workflow with Valyx, and we are excited about its growth path going forward.”
