Western Uttar Pradesh has reportedly been identified as a particularly sensitive area, with police on high alert. “We have asked our officials to organise meetings with the groups calling for the rally as well as market associations to facilitate better cooperation,” said Director General of Police UR Sahoo. Senior police officials held a video conference to discuss security measures, ensuring public safety during the rally.
Public and emergency services
As with many such strikes, public transport and private offices are expected to remain largely shut down today. However, essential services, including ambulances, will continue to operate to ensure that emergency medical needs are met.
